One of the simplest pleasures in France is the experience of relaxing at a bistro. Modern French bistros, known as new bistros or neo-bistro, are small restaurants that serve top-quality food in relaxed environments. France has thousands of hole-in-the-wall bistros that are sure to wow you, so you can get your fill by stopping at the first bistro you see after stopping at another of the country's attractions. If you consider yourself a foodie, you're also likely to enjoy stopping at one of France's many Champagne houses for a tasting adventure. You can make an evening out of champagne tasting if you find an out-of-the-way champagne house, rent a car and enjoy a scenic drive through France's countryside to get to and from your destination.

Before leaving France, it's also worth the time to explore some of the country's hilltop villages that are still covered in medieval architecture and cobblestone lanes. The famous Alsatian Wine Route will take you by many of these quaint villages by way of roads that are lined with misty mountains and vibrantly-colored vineyards.

Regardless of where you end up in France, the country will steal your heart and fill your stomach as well as any other. Yours days will range from leisurely to jam-packed, and returning to a quiet, luxurious suite can feel like one of the best things in the world. Booking through an agency like Global Concepts in San Antonio will ensure that your trip is handled professionally so that you can enjoy France at your own speed.

Global Concepts in San Antonio - Places to See in Colorado

Colorado is a state that's full of spectacular sights and, when the people at Global Concepts in San Antonio arrange a stay for you there, you have the opportunity of a lifetime to see stunning landscapes. It's hard to know where to start, though, and even some of the locals haven't seen or done everything in Colorado. If you arrive without an itinerary, you might get wrapped up in whatever town you're staying in and accidentally miss the entire state. Below are three places that should be on your “must see” list to make sure that you get the most out of your Colorado stay:

Global Concepts San Antonio

  • Garden of the Gods: The Garden of the Gods is located near Colorado Springs and it offers some of the most interesting rock formations in the state. This park has a variety of hikes, tours and bicycle paths that allow tourists to explore the Garden of the Gods scenery from sunrise to sunset. After you finish exploring the beautiful red and orange rock towers spanning the Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak is just a short drive away for yet another beautiful landmark.
  • Great Sand Dunes National Park: Southern Colorado is home to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, where you'll witness dunes amassed from sand that wind have carried from the San Luis Valley over thousands of years. The dunes are over 700 feet high in places and visitors can rent dune buggies for the thrill of a lifetime.
  • Rocky Mountain National Park: Colorado is known for the Rocky Mountains, so it doesn’t make sense not to see them up close when you visit the state. The Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the greatest natural areas in Colorado and it's home to stunning hikes, campgrounds, ski slopes and fishing spots, depending on which season you're visiting for. The area is particularly colorful in early September when the colors are changing on the aspen trees and the snow is yet to fall.

Wherever you go in Colorado, make sure to see the variety of scenery the state offers. It's not every day that you can see snow-capped mountains, spanning sand dunes, natural hot springs, rocky valleys and rolling fields all in the same state. Travel agencies like Global Concepts in San Antonio will help you find the perfect resort to call home while you explore Colorado so that you always have a hot bath and good food to return to after a long day.

Global Concepts in San Antonio - What to See in Italy

It seems like everyone wants to go to Italy and see Venice or Rome, but that's often the extent of people's travel plans. Once you get to Italy, it's important to have at least a few other things on your “to see” list, otherwise you might leave after hardly seeing any of this great country's sights. When travel agencies like Global Concepts in San Antonio arrange an Italy trip, they'll often recommend some of the following sightseeing locations:

  • Tuscany: Tuscany is one of Italy's most famous regions, but not one of the most visited. The low, rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves often fly under the radar when a traveler is overwhelmed with their first trip to Italy. Tuscan islands, wine tasting in Chianti and art tours in Florence are just some of the many offerings that Tuscany offers to travelers.
  • Pompeii: Most tourists would love to see Pompeii, but with a packed schedule in a new country, a lot of people miss their opportunity. This famous city was engulfed in several feet of volcanic ash following the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius around 1,700 years ago. Excavation efforts are still underway and so much of this ancient city has been unearthed that tourists can walk Pompeii's streets and even see what remains of its shops, bath houses and brothels.
  • Amalfi Coast: The Amalfi Coast is known as one of Italy's most beautiful tourist destinations with 30 miles of southern coastline, glistening bays and colorful mountainside towns. This ritzy area offers fine dining, pebbled beaches and more resorts than most people will visit in a lifetime. Even if you don't stay in the city long, walking along an Amalfi Coast beach is an experience of a lifetime.

The well-traveled people of Global Concepts in San Antonio know just where to send travelers looking for an amazing experience in Italy. Even if you venture into Italy with a full itinerary, though, one of the most important things to remember is to enjoy the experience and not be stringent about your schedule. Italy lives by its own rules and it seems to function on a slower timescale than the rest of the world, so when in Rome, do as the Romans do.

A Few San Antonio Missions You Have to Visit—Besides the Alamo

Any trip to San Antonio should probably include a visit to the Alamo, the famous site of the battle between Spanish forces and the Texan army, amongst which was the notable Texas icon Davy Crocket. Aside from the Alamo, however, there are a number of missions that were founded in San Antonio hundreds of years ago. The San Antonio Missions National Historical Park encompasses the four southernmost missions in the city—Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada. At the visitor’s center, in Mission San Jose, you can learn about the intricate history of all the missions in the area, which were built in the 18th century. Each mission has a Catholic parish that allows visitors during regular park hours.

You can get to the missions through the famous San Antonio River Walk. The new Mission Reach of the River Walk is an eight mile stretch of recreational trails, picnic areas, bridges, pavilions, and portals to Espada, Concepcion, San Jose, and San Juan. All of the missions are beautiful, ornate buildings that offer an abundance of historical information from which to explore and learn. Take the River Walk’s Mission Reach, or visit the National Historical Park to visit all of the missions in the area, and don’t forget the Alamo.

Three Buildings You Have to Visit on San Antonio’s River Walk Tour

San Antonio’s River Walk tour is an excellent way to spend an afternoon or evening in the centuries-old city. The River Walk extends through downtown and beyond, and offers visitors an excellent tour of the city with many historic buildings and beautiful natural areas tucked in between restaurants, bars, and the heart of San Antonio. When you’re touring the River Walk, make sure you check out these three buildings on your way:

  • La Villita Historic Arts Village. Most of the stucco and caliche block structures in this collection of art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants were standing since the mid-19th century, when European immigrants from many different countries worked and lived there.
  • Carnegie Library. Originally built in 1930 on Market Street, this old, ornate building has served as many things in the history of San Antonio. It was the Hertzberg Circus Museum in 1968, and is under renovation for the Dolph and Janey Briscoe Western Art Museum.
  • Clifford Building. Robert H. H. Hugman, when he was designing the original San Antonio River Walk, observed the beautiful San Antonio River area in downtown San Antonio from his office above the river constructed in 1893. Today, the Clifford Building houses a coin shop and the Republic of Texas Restaurant.

What to Wear in Aruba

Aruba is a tropical paradise in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, and is home to a wide array of excellent beaches, restaurants, natural areas, shopping, casinos, and more. When you’re visiting Aruba, there are perhaps many things that you have to keep track of and be cognizant of, but you should always take into consideration the type of clothes that you bring to this tropical paradise.

The main aspect of the weather that you have to watch out for is the sun. In all seasons, the average temperature is 82 degrees, and except for a few stormy days, the sun is in full force year round. Take care to protect yourself from the sun at all daylight hours, but especially between 10 am and 3 pm, when the sun is the strongest. Sun hats, sleeved shirts, and sunglasses are all essentials to keep the sun off your skin when it becomes excessive. Feel free to get a base tan, of course, but don’t forget that the sun can penetrate even clouds. Make sure you also bring waterproof sunscreen when you go swimming. The sun can reflect off of the sand and burn you as well, so apply sunscreen early and often to avoid sun damage.

For the sometimes cool evenings and the air-conditioned casinos and restaurants, bring long pants and a jacket. Also, bring nice clothes to wear to fancy restaurants if you wish.

Global Concepts of San Antonio offers many travel package options to Aruba, including stays at the luxurious Caribbean Palm Village Resort.
